Identify the Hold-Open Hardware

The standoff supports the hold-open arm at its pivot connection. It is distinct from the frame-side detent, the arm itself and the door's closing mechanism. Inspect the original arrangement before choosing replacement hardware.

Anthony's parts book shows other hold-open designs using pivot standoff 40-14616-0001. Do not treat it as interchangeable with 40-12130-0001 simply because both are called pivot standoffs. Match the installed part and the applicable door documentation.

Before You Order

1. Record the Anthony door identification and available serial or production information.
2. Photograph the whole hold-open assembly and the part being replaced.
3. Compare the standoff's threaded end, shoulder and mounting location.
4. If replacing only the screw, confirm its thread, length and head clearance against the original hardware.
5. Inspect the receiving threads and arm for wear or damage.
6. Confirm whether you need the standoff, the screw or additional assembly components.
